Lush Product Review: Solid Shampoos

Hey everyone! As I’ve stated already, I’m a massive Lush fan. For anyone who doesn’t know what Lush is, it’s an all-natural cosmetic company that sells a huge variety of products from all natural toothpaste to henna hair dye. Personally, I can spend hours in Lush. Not only are there a million of products to look at, touch, smell, and sample, everything is just so wonderful that I spend way too much time debating on what I want to buy now and what I should save for my next shopping trip so that I don’t go broke. I’ve been using Lush products for years now, so I can say I have quite a bit of experience with their products. For this post in particular, I’m going to review two solid shampoos that I’ve purchased numerous times (and just happened to repurchase the other day) and LOVE.

Product 1: Lush Trichomania Shampoo Bar

Trichomania Solid Shampoo

This is probably my number one favorite shampoo from Lush. Its featured ingredient is creamed coconut, which makes it heavenly for dry hair like mine. This shampoo bar not only smells really great, it lathers wonderfully on my hair and moisturizes without weighing my hair down or leaving a residue. I’ve been purchasing this shampoo bar for years now and I always like to have some in the shower. A huge bonus for me is that this shampoo bar will last a pretty long time — much longer than a standard bottle of liquid shampoo. Overall, I highly recommend this shampoo to anyone with dry, wavy/curly, medium-thick hair. I’m not sure how well someone with fine/thin hair would like this product, so I can only make a suggestion based on what type of hair I have and how it works for me.

Product 2: Lush New! Shampoo Bar

Lush New! Solid Shampoo

I  l.o.v.e the New! shampoo bar so much. I’ve been using this one for years as well and it’s definitely a go-to product for me. Not only does it smell like a wonderfully spicy cinnamon candy, it feels nice and tingly on my scalp. The featured ingredient in this bar is clove bud oil, which adds to the delightful spicy scent. This bar lathers very well with just a few swipes on wet hair and will last a long time as long as it’s kept dry when not in use. I think anyone would be able to use this as it’s not especially moisturizing but not drying either. It’s just a great everyday shampoo that will make your hair feel clean and soft. Who doesn’t want that? While the scent is a bit intense, it’s not off-putting in my opinion — I personally really love the smell of it and how it helps to wake me up in the morning!

In general, you can’t go wrong with a Lush shampoo bar. If you ever find yourself wandering around the wonderland that is Lush, make sure you check out the various shampoo options. I’ve tried nearly all of them, so I plan on making more product reviews dedicated to these shampoos. If you decide to give them a try, just make sure you keep your bar out of the water stream while showering as they will definitely melt if water is constantly dripping or spraying onto them. So do yourself a favor and keep a designated soap dish for your Lush bars to get your use & money’s worth out of them!
